“Macarons and Muttarons LLC” was founded in the fall of 2020, after all three owners decided to move to Colorado in 2018.
Sara grew up in Golden, Colorado and comes from a long line of Southern women obsessed with good cooking. Sara earned her degree in biology at CU Boulder and was a zookeeper from 2007-2021. The pandemic changed a lot of things, and specifically motivated Sara to follow her new passion of full-time baking. Her love of animals and animal nutrition is instilled in the ‘mutts’ part of the company.
Tim’s father was in the army, so his family bounced around, but mainly in Germany and Louisiana. Tim has been in the restaurant industry since he was 14 and has done just about every job possible. Tim went to culinary school in Dallas and notably worked for Wolfgang Puck for 10 years.
Ripley was found by the dumpsters at the Dallas Zoo at 10 weeks old. After receiving life-saving medical care he came home with Tim and Sara. Ripley continues to be the muse for Macs & Mutts.
